At 1930 we left the hotel in a cab for the airport, which is located in the far northeastern part of the city, quite a long way from our hotel, which gave us another chance to see a lot of the city. The cab driver gave us a running commentary about the different sections of the city, only part of which we could really understand. The airport was something of a surprise – I expected a modern place with nice terminals, but this didn’t quite fit the bill. It was crowded, old, and teeming with people. The woman after customs changed us to an earlier flight, so we arrived in Miami earlier than expected after a long overnight flight north. We arrived home on Wednesday, December 24th in the early afternoon.

The number of miles we had travelled, including our flights, was 17,753. It was truly a wonderful trip.
