It was quite rough during the night as we followed a southwesterly course approximately 30 miles off the Chilean coast. We traveled at an average speed of 20 knots, and the seas were 7-12 feet.

After long naps, we finally got over our jet lag, and spent much of the day checking out the ship's stores. Tonight was our first formal night at dinner with our tablemates, one couple from Canada, and one from Oklahoma.
