The windlass is a Lofrens Tigres model with both up and down power controlled from the foredeck, lower conning station and upper flybridge station. 350 feet of 5/16 High Tensile chain appropriately marked secures the 43 pound high tensile West Marine Danforth-Type anchor to the vessel. The windlass is positioned so that the chain falls into the chain locker in the optimum position without hands-on guidance. A stern anchor, chain and rode are onboard and located in the aft lazarette. |
